IGT players get five-star equipment service

20150115_120347JOHANNESBURG (29 January 2015) – Equipment trucks have been a huge feature on the world’s leading Tours for years and now the aspirant pros on the IGT Tour will get also get to take advantage of this on-site service.

David Ansett, who services the Sunshine Tour during their summer events, has extended his fitting service to the country’s premier development Tour players and will be providing the highest caliber of equipment and onsite customer maintenance to the IGT Tour players this year.

“We explore every possible opportunity to assist our members’ growth and development, to best prepare them for the Sunshine Tour,” said IGT Tour commissioner Cois du Plooy.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome Dave to the fold. He will further enhance the IGT Tour by giving our members the kind of service they will receive on the main circuit and I believe he will play a pivotal role in their education.”

Ansett offers a full service, from making adjustments to the professionals’ equipment, building a driver or new set of irons to tweaking loft and lies and re-gripping clubs.

“Sometimes the guys even just stop by to shoot the breeze,” Ansett said. “The door’s always open.

“My main aim is to help players compete at the highest level of the game. Golfers are always tinkering and with equipment changes, especially in the beginning of the season, I look after the players and make sure that they have everything they need to go out there and play their best golf.

“If something goes wrong, the truck is there to service their needs. But there are a great many golfers who have no idea that a simple adjustment can make the world of difference to their game and I am really excited to extend the service to the IGT Tour.”

Ansett services all brands, including Srixon, Titleist, Talyor-Made, Mizuno, Ping and Nike and also has contracts in place with suppliers of footwear, GPS devises and Sabona Bangles.

“The IGT Tour players will have access to all these services and will be able to purchase through David at cost price,” said Du Plooy.

“Dave will join us our season-opener at Centurion Country Club on February 10, where our players will get their first look at how the service operates and he will join us again once the Sunshine Tour’s Summer Swing concludes at the end of March.”
