What a great days golf on the last day of the IGT Pro Golf Tour – Kzn held at Port Shepstone CC. It turned out to be a 2 horse race between overnight leader Andrew Curlewis and Jared Harvey. Jared blitz round the course in 8 under par 64, 7 birdies, an eagle and the only blemish a drop at the 6th hole. Andrew had a bogey free 5 under par 67. They finished on -11 for the 54 event. IGT Kzn’s first play-off and it was back to the 18th hole. Curlewis hit properly his worst shot all week into the bushes down the left hand side, Harvey’s tee shot split the fairway. Curlewis managed to chip out sideways with a 6 iron, his 3rd shot found the green but about 20 feet from the hole. Harvey hit a great approach to 8 feet. Curlewis who had not holed a putt of any length all day calmly rolled in the par putt. Harvey misses from 8 feet to win and it’s back to the 18th tee. Both players find the fairway with their tee shots, Curlewis to play first bangs it into 10 feet and Harvey follows with a great shot to 6 feet. Curlewis’s birdie try misses left and Harvey steps up and rolls his birdie putt in for the win. Great golf gentlemen.
