Kwazulu-Natal IGT Race to Q-School 2015
The Kwazulu-Natal IGT race to Q-School Order of Merit (OoM) is used to identify and give recognition to top performing golfers across Kwazulu-Natal who have achieved success in the IGT race to Q-School golf season. The IGT race to Q-School Order of Merit is based on those Tournaments that represent an extremely high standard of competition. A point system is used based on the results of the players in the approved events in order to objectively rank each individual’s performance.
The objective of the IGT race to Q-School is to provide a comparison/ranking system for top players which will enable players to compare themselves on their average performance and make a calculating decision if you are ready for the Sunshine Q-School.

IGT race to Q-School Event Info
The Kwazulu-Natal IGT race to Q-School season starts on the 7th September 2014 at Durban Country Club. There will be eight events and the last event is at Durban Country Club on the 14th December 2014.
All IGT race to Q-School events are 3 days over 54 holes.
Eligibility for IGT Race to Q-School
To be eligible for the OoM, players must be members in good standing of the IGT Challenge Pro Tour.
Players can play as many events as they want and no minimum events are required.
Obviously, players are not able to play in each event identified on the point template because of time constraints, financials and other factors, but the relative weighting of maximum events may assist a player who can’t play in all events. The total events for IGT race to Q-School 2014 is 8 events and the best 6 events will count towards the OoM.
Process for Calculating Points
The IGT Tour is responsible for calculating points for each player who has earned points. To find out what events are used and their point values, go to the “Order of Merit Point Chart” on our website for each event. Each golfer can keep track of their own points if they wish from the results per event.
OoM results are posted on the website and ranked from highest to lowest points. The OoM is updated directly after an event and posted on the website under Order of Merit.
A player may play in more than the maximum number (8) of counting events and only the 6 best results will count.
To prevent a player from accumulating a distorted number of points due to the number of tournaments played, the associated costs incurred and recognizing the need for scheduling breaks to avoid burnout, the total points recorded will count a maximum of 6 events in which the player earns the most points.
Win Entry Fee to Sunshine Q-School
KZN IGT will award one fully paid entry to the Sunshine Q-School 2015 for the winner of the OoM. Due to the early closing of the Sunshine Q-School entries, IGT will refund the winner’s entry fee. The refund will be paid in the second week of January 2015.
